What we collect
When you ask for a quote, we collect your name, telephone number, email address, fitting postcode, selected service and vehicle registration, or alternative vehicle details where a registration is unavailable. You can also give us towing requirements and other information needed to assess the installation. Our team may retain related correspondence. Please do not put payment details, passwords or sensitive personal information in the enquiry box.
The website and its security tools also process technical information, such as browser, device and connection information, to display the site and help prevent misuse. If you use website chat, the messages and contact details you supply are processed through Wix Chat.
Why we use it
We use your enquiry to contact you, assess vehicle compatibility, discuss fitting availability and provide a quote. Where you are asking us to provide a service to you, this is to take steps at your request before entering a contract. For enquiries made on behalf of a business, general correspondence and maintaining necessary enquiry records, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to requests and running our installation service.
We also have a legitimate interest in protecting the website against spam, fraud and misuse. Where the law requires us to retain or disclose particular records, we rely on that legal obligation. An enquiry does not sign you up to a marketing mailing list.
Information needed for an enquiry
The form identifies required fields. We ask for both phone and email so we can discuss compatibility or fitting and send written information. Without the required details, the online enquiry cannot be completed. You can telephone us instead. Compatibility checks and quotes are assessed by our team; submitting the form does not make an automated booking or guarantee suitability.
Who handles your information
We use Wix to host the website, display forms and provide website chat and security checks; Supabase to store website enquiries separately from diary bookings; and Microsoft services to deliver and handle enquiry emails. These providers process information needed to supply their services. Access within our business is for handling your enquiry and related administration. We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to obtain professional advice or handle a dispute.
If your enquiry becomes a booking that requires a fitting partner or tracker monitoring provider, we will explain the relevant arrangements before those services are organised. This notice does not replace the monitoring provider's own privacy information.
Where information is processed
Our website enquiry database is hosted in the EU. Wix, Microsoft and their service providers operate internationally, so some processing may take place outside the UK. Their published privacy information describes their locations and transfer safeguards. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
How long we keep it
We review enquiries that have not become bookings twelve months after the last contact. We then delete the information unless there is a continuing reason to retain it, such as an active discussion or a dispute. This review applies to the website enquiry record and the corresponding enquiry emails.
If you become a customer, records needed for your installation, aftercare, accounting or a legal obligation are retained according to those purposes and applicable requirements. These are assessed separately from unsuccessful enquiries. Information is not kept simply because storage is available.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see your personal information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing depends on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Some rights have exceptions, including where records must be retained by law.
